The PA89 is an ultra high 1,200V power operational amplifier that can deliver output currents up to 75mA. The PA89 targets high voltage applications including piezoelectric positioning, instrumentation and electrostatic deflection. Output voltages can swing over 1,000Vp-p.
High accuracy for this MOSFET power amplifier is achieved with a cascode input circuit configuration and 120dB open loop gain. All internal biasing is referenced to a bootstrapped zener-MOSFET current source, giving the PA89 a wide supply range and excellent supply rejection. External compensation provides user flexibility by allowing customers to tailor slew rate and bandwidth performance.
The PA89A is the A grade version that provides enhanced performance in the areas of offset voltage, bias current and offset current. The PA89 series is a hybrid product design housed in a hermetically sealed and electrically isolated 12-pin MO-127 metal PowerDIP package. The PA89 is 100% gross leak tested to military standards for long term reliability. For continuous operation under load, a heatsink of proper rating is recommended.
