Greg Brennan
President and CEO
Greg Brennan has been working with enterprise startups and spin outs since beginning his career in the microelectronics industry nearly 35 years ago. After working with several initial ventures, including privately held Vitarel Microelectronics, a spinout from AVX, and Scrantom Engineering, Greg joined Apex Microtechnology.
In 1995, Greg supported a management led exit of the company's founder, and five years later he drove the private equity purchase of Apex by Alerion Capital Group based in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2007, Greg was instrumental to Apex's sale of Apex to Cirrus Logic Inc, headquartered in Austin, Texas. Immediately following the acquisition, Greg was named Vice President and General Manager, and an officer of the Corporation. When the company opted to sell the APP division in 2012, Greg was called upon to ensure its successful exit and completed the sale in July of 2012 re-establishing Apex Microtechnology as a stand-alone entity.
Outside his role of President and CEO, Greg serves as director on boards of several corporations in healthcare and consumer market segments. Greg's undergraduate education started in the BSEE program at Purdue University and was completed with a BS in business.
Graham Hemmingson
Chief Financial Officer
Graham Hemmingson joined the Apex team in 2013 as a Finance Intern. He demonstrated a high understanding of cost accounting as well as implementing internal controls. He began taking on more responsibility while still in school and upon graduation joined Apex full-time as Financial Controller. In 2018, Graham was appointed CFO and now leads the Apex financial team.
Graham is a licensed Arizona CPA and holds a BSBA in Accounting as well as a Master of Accounting Degree from the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona.
Jens Eltze
Director of Business Development
Jens Eltze is an accomplished marketing and engineering professional with proven ability to drive corporate direction and growth through new product promotion, global coordination, and hardware/software engineering support. He began his marketing prowess in the electronics industry in 1996 with NEC Electronics as an Application Engineer after which he transitioned into New Business Development where he combines his unique talents of technical and business expertise.
In 2012, Jens brought his unique skillset to Apex as Director of Strategic Marketing. Jens draws on his unique background in engineering and business to research and drive new product development in emerging markets. He directs and executes in-depth analyses of new target markets, including technical/market trends, SWOT analysis, value proposition, and return-of-investment (ROI) calculations.
Jens holds an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany.
Jim Thompson
Director of Operations
Jim Thompson began his career in 1987 as an electronics technician in the semiconductor industry. He quickly progressed to management and has continually increased his areas of responsibility and leadership in Operations. In the semiconductor industry, Jim has managed Test, Test Engineering, Assembly and Inventory Control Teams. In the Aerospace industry, Jim has managed Repair Station, servicing the Aerospace market.
Jim joined the Apex team in January of 2020 as Director of Operations. He brings Operations leadership and Lean Manufacturing skills to the Apex Team.
Jim holds an AS in Electronics from Eastern Arizona Community College, a BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Jerry Tan
Engineering Manager
Jerry Tan began his career as an electrical design engineer, starting with the early smartphone designs and eventually progressing to the high-quality Motorola video decoder system. Subsequently, in the aerospace industry, Jerry assumed a leadership role within the electrical engineering team, where he successfully enhanced the current avionics system and proposed the next-generation system.
Jerry joined the Apex team in February of 2024 as the Engineering Manager. He brings experience in fostering a culture of quality and collaboration to the Apex team.
Jerry commenced his electronic training during his high school years and developed a profound passion for electrical engineering. He holds a Masters of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Utah.
Aaron Bondy
Global Sales Manager
Aaron Bondy joined the Apex team in 2014 through the Apex internship program where he demonstrated a high aptitude for technical sales and customer facing communication. Upon graduation, Aaron joined Apex as a member of Inside Sales supporting the company's customer base.
In 2016, Aaron increased his responsibility within Apex, transitioning into the role of Regional Sales Management where he continued his efforts to drive Apex's domestic sales growth while providing direct management of Apex strategic accounts.
As Global Sales Manager, Aaron leads Apex's sales channel providing guidance on long-term strategic sales initiatives fostering Apex's leadership in the global power analog marketspace, while also managing its team of application engineers, customer service, and marketing communication team members to provide superior technical and sales support.
Aaron holds a BSBA in Business Management from the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona.
Stephanie Peña
Human Resources Manager
Stephanie Peña began her career in HR with Apex in 2015, where her aptitude for HR development and team-member support allowed her to quickly progress to HR Generalist. In 2018, Stephanie became a Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management, demonstrating her proficiency in all areas of HR. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to HR Manager, where she has been instrumental in furthering diversity and inclusion within Apex. She supports the Apex team through her role as a liaison between the executive team and team members, driving the functions of benefits and policy administration, team member relations, and managerial training.
Stephanie's focus is on continuously improving the culture of the company and keeping the workforce engaged, positively affecting the team member's experience and overall success of the organization. She also holds a BSBA in Business Management from the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona.
